Thank you for visiting us at YAWNDaily.com! We are excited to begin the much needed work of bringing our creativity and levity to the world of online media content creation. Our formula is simple: We begin with your news or story submissions and just let creativity, comedy and our trains of thought take over as we free-write the story into whatever it turns out to be.
Why do this?
- Make your life Newsworthy — We are fed up with news about car accidents, deaths, fires, politics and diseases. We want to read the stories that could matter to us and others; or just put a smile on someones face. (This is not to insinuate that the items listed above do not matter, they’re just not for us here; unless we make them fun and entertaining.)
- Have confidence in your news — you will know that most of these posts are fake, but our goal is to make them fun and relatable to inspire contemplation and free thinking. We will also mix in reality as appropriate to spark meaningful dialogue. These are based in real life after all. Check the category of each post if you’re interested in to know what’s what.
- Anything goes — There are no specified topics or rhyme or reason to what you submit or what we post here. The purpose is to entertain, to relate to one another, to spark productive discussion and, hopefully, to gain personal insights through comedy.
We are certainly not journalists here. This is an experiment in creativity for both fun and entertainment. As an added benefit, we aim to generate discussion through amusement, identify shared experience through storytelling and uncover the humor in the mundane. As we move forward, we plan to offer satire along with writing that could best be described as opinion pieces. Each story will be appropriately tagged so you’ll know what to expect.

Get the word out about what matters to you, what happened to you, what happened to someone else, really anything goes. We will put your story through the human powered algorithm that is our creative team to embellish, derail, reinvent or fundamentally change story lines to make these stories newsworthy, lol.
